Color tone compensating filter
A color compensating filter emphasizes a specific color and adds a specific color. The color compensating filter has become one of the few means for correcting color tone in film photography in which white balance and color temperature are difficult to change.
Color Compensating (CC) filter
CC filter performs color compensating. CC filter can compensate complicated colors by combining three primary colors (cyan, magenta, and yellow) of light and their complementary colors (red, green, and blue).
Light Balancing (LB) filter
LB (Light Balancing) filter performs color temperature conversion. Color temperature changes according to weather and conditions of a light source. For example, about 5500K, for outdoors of sunny day which is the same as the surface temperature of the sun, about 6500K for shadow area of sunny day or cloudy day, and about 3200K for tungsten light. The color temperature decreases when an umber filter is mounted. A blue color filter has an effect to increase the color temperature. LB filter is used for photographing under the best condition or used for emphasizing colors or aiming for a specific effect. With a digital camera, a built-in white balance function can substitute it.
Fluorescent light filter
A fluorescent light filter compensates concave side of green color that is generated when photographing under a light source of fluorescent light.
